STAY AT HOME RULES EXTENDED

The number of cases of Coronavirus in the province are on a downward trend today, but in order to keep that going, the provincial emergency orders the province put in place early in January, including the stay-at-home order, have been extended until February 9.

This means you must stay at home. You should only go out for necessities, such as:

  • getting food, beverages or medication

  • going to medical appointments

  • supporting vulnerable community members

  • child care

  • attending school or a post-secondary institution

  • going to a bank

  • accessing government services

  • getting exercise or walking pets

  • going to work, if you can’t do it remotely

It also means no gatherings of more than five people, wearing a mask in public and maintaining a physical distance of 6 feet (2 metres) from another person.
