OWL PROWL

Join Kawartha Conservation Watershed Resources Technician, and resident birding enthusiast, Rob Stavinga for an educational and insightful Owl Prowl at Ken Reid Conservation Area.

“Ken Reid is a great place to come and explore birding and we are often frequented by a variety of owls including Barred Owls, Eastern Screech Owls, Great Horned Owls and more,” said Mr. Stavinga. “This fun, family event will be an opportunity to explore Ken Reid after dark while we try and locate some of the owls that make their home in the canopy.”

Cost for the evening event is $10 per person or $15 for an entire family.

The evening will begin with a 30 minute presentation in the Kawartha Conservation boardroom on what the different types of owls look and sound like, their habitat and diet.

The April 3 Owl Prowl is limited to 20 people, so the event will be on a first come, first serve basis.

In the event of inclement weather, the Owl Prowl will be held the following Wednesday, April 10.
